Do Hip Protectors Work?
Yes, but they can only reduce a serious fall related injury if they are worn properly, so be sure to wear them as your regular underwear.

Can Hip Protectors be worn in bed?
Yes, they are not thick and bulky but slim and moulded to fit the curved surface of the body. However as with all new things they may take a little time to get used them.

Have there been scientific studies about the benefits of hip protectors?
Yes. Many clinical trials have now been conducted and the published results are largely positive. Please use the links on the right for further information.

Can Hip Protectors be seen when worn?
No, except under skin-tight clothing. The shields are very slim and are moulded to body shape.

Can Hip Protectors be worn with incontinence products?
Yes, they have been designed to be worn as regular underwear. A special feature is the larger gusset which allows for the use of incontinence products if needed.

How do you wash Hip Protectors?
They are fully machine washable, including commercial washing and drying. The shields are removable for washing. Gentle wash cycles are recommended. Our guarantee does not apply if any bleaching product has been used on the garment.

Do the shields need replacing?
The shields are made of a very tough flexible material and have been designed to withstand high levels of pressure. If the shields develop cracking of any sort, they should be replaced immediately.
